KINSHIP SUPPORT SERVICES
As we are ALL in this TOGETHER during this global challenging time, The Kinship Support Services Program continues to provide services to Kinship Families and Non-Related Extended Family Members who are caring for their kin-children. Our Kinship staff continues to engage families by providing crisis intervention, emotional support, educational support, and encouragement. During this time, we are also providing bi-weekly bulletins that include relevant resources, current essential information and fun activities for our caregivers and youth.
If you or someone you know is in need of Kinship Supportive Services, please call the Kinship Program staff at Office: (510) 834-2443 ext. 3008 or Mobile: (510) 316-6737.
Be safe and be healthy.
Kinship care is the full-time care, nurturing and protection of children by relatives; grandparents, adult siblings, godparents, stepparents, or any adult who has a kinship bond with a child. Kinship families offer a positive, stable, safe alternative placement for children who are unable to live with their biological parents. The Kinship Support Services Program offers much-needed support to kinship families.
