We provide professional care for children in the family’s home, in licensed daycare homes or at specified community sites. |
| Why It Matters: | Respite / child care aims to reduce the stresses of full-time care-giving. |
Our services are provided to:
- Families who have a child with a developmental disability
- Caregivers raising kin children
- Foster families who are caring for foster children
- CalWORKs recipients who are in need emergency back-up when their regular child care is not available
- CalWORKs recipients whose children are mildly ill and cannot attend their regular child care
- Children who are HIV-infected or have an HIV-positive family member
