“What to do for Youth during an Emotional Crisis”
Every year, Family Support Services hosts a Kinship Conference to help our kinship caregivers continue to develop their parenting skills. This helps our caregivers to continue providing safe, healthy homes in which to grow and thrive.
This year, our theme centers around how to help youth who are going through emotional crisis. This can be stressful for families, but the Kinship Conference will give caregivers tools that they can use to help support the youth in their lives.
The Kinship Conference will take place at Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church, at 1188 12th Street, Oakland, on Thursday, June 27, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There will be food and prizes, so come ready to learn!
