In 1989, social workers Lou Fox and Judy Levin saw a need for services addressing the diverse needs of families. Now we are proud to be able to look back on 30 years of providing services to families experiencing a variety of challenges.
Over the course of the past 30 years, our organization has grown. We have gone from offering just one program to now offering five programs: the Respite Program, the Family Preservation Program, the Kinship Support Services Program, the Kinship Youth Program, and the Growing Up Strong Program. We have gone from operating in just one county, to operating in several, with offices in both the East Bay and San Francisco. Our services range from mental health counseling, to reunification and parenting services, to respite care.
With all these years under its belt, Family Support Services is ready to turn its attention to the next 30 years. We are a growing and changing organization, and we want to thank the community of donors, sponsors, and supporters who have made us a part of the Bay Area.
Thank you for helping us to keep families healthy and intact!
