SAN FRANCISCO FAMILY PRESERVATION PROGRAM
In the midst of the COVID-19 – Shelter in Place Order, our San Francisco’s Family Preservation Program continues to serve families during these uncertain times. We understand that our families are being negatively affected due to lost wages and the inability to pay for basic needs such as food or make payment for household bills which can bring heavy burdens.
Our SafeCare® Social Workers are providing essential support to our families by first and foremost making their needs a priority. They are doing this by referring families to community based organizations, providing direct basic necessities, emotional support, and advocacy through continuance of their SafeCare® parenting sessions.
Our staff continues to serve families through weekly virtual SafeCare® sessions via video technology and are flexible during this crucial time. Family Support Services will continue ensuring that our client’s care is a priority so our families can stay intact and healthy!
Our Family Preservation Program in San Francisco County offers supportive and educational services to families that are at-risk and are raising children 0-5 years old. Our highly trained staff support families by building on their existing skills and using the SafeCare® model.
